Title: Oh MY It has been a LONG TIME
WOW..I cannot believe it has been so long since I posted on the blog..It has been a busy summer. We had great success at the Lexington County Peach Festival on July 4th. It was great fun & I met some wonderful people. Doodlebows is adding a new line of COLLEGIATE MONOGRAMMED BUTTON HAIR BOWS..I have most SEC & ACC teams posted on the site. These are really cute & will be great for upcoming football season! We are participating in a celebrity gifting Basket for Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban through Baby Swags so I have been busy working on that. I am always posting new products & will be at The Belles & Beaus Children's Consignment Sale in August. We have been busy around our house with my continued mission of potty training my twins, a beach trip & Dental Surgery for me(YUCK)..As well as splashing around in various pools & Water Parks.
Oh & one more thing to add to my plate - I am opening another webstore- It will be called Doodleboutique..I hope to provide unique gifts for mother & Child. I want to have monogrammed items, boutique dresses for children, burp cloths..More to come on that..

Title: It's Been A long time!!
Wow..It has really been a long time since I last posted. I have added some really cute hand-sewn fabric NO-Headache headbands (NEW & CUTE PATTERNS). I am also working on monogrammed button headbands. I will be at the South Carolina Peach Festival in Gilbert on the 4th of July... This is exciting news because this is a HUGE event in SC. So stay tuned for more on this. I am having a 10% storewide sale on any purchase over $20.00. More news to come later

Title: Sparkleberry Fair
I had a great time yesterday at the Sparkleberry Fair. I appreciate all the support & positive feedback. It was great weather(a little hot) until about 2pm & then a quite large storm shut everything down..It was a shame because people were just starting to SHOP!!! Also, alot of dance companies etc. had performances that were cancelled. We are continuing to add a great selection of summer bows (nautical, tropical etc..) So check the site often. I will continue to place many items on sale also.
Today was Greek Easter (My husband's family is Greek). We had a great meal at my in-laws..It was a good day, everyone around our house is pooped out. So we are off to bed early.

Title: Long time No BLOG!!
WOW it has been a while..Well I have been busy filling orders. I have been adding some new styles & have more to come. The tuxedo barrettes are really cute & are great for older girls. I am working on new hand woven grosgrain headbands..They are really cute. I will have them on the site soon. Doodlebows will be at the Sparkleberry County Fair in the arts/crafts section. This community event is held yearly at the Clemson Research Facility across from The Village at Sandhill in Northeast Columbia, SC. It is April 26 & we will be there from 9-5. I am sharing a booth with my sister-in-law, ON A WHIMSY has great handcrafted jewelry & artwork. She has some great new necklaces for little girls. So be sure to check us out!!
I can't believe my Babies will be three in one WEEK. We are planning the birthday extravaganza for next weekend.

Title: Baby Swags Event
I am really excited about an event I am participating in. It is with a company called BABY SWAGS. What BABY SWAGS does is they provide "swag bags" & "gift packages" for celebrities, VIPS, Producers etc. Small businesses & work at home moms donate items to be placed in the gift bags or boxes...The point is for your products to be seen by high profile people in hopes to generate business..Celebrities often get the swag bags when they have a new baby or for pre-event gifts like the Emmy Awards...BABY SWAGS have given gift baskets/bags to celebrities like Tori Spelling, Ben Affleck, Miley Cyrus, Campbell Brown....YOU GET THE PICTURE!!
ANYHOW..The event I have donated items for is in conjuction with SIX FLAGS AMUSEMENT PARKS. Baby Swags will present 60 well deserving moms who have become victims of domestic violence with a celebrity look a like gift basket. Doodlebows has donated 36 Hairbows... In return Doodlebows will be included in all press releases & promotional information. We also will have our link placed on the BABY SWAGS web site.. So this is really cool for us & we are also helping people are not quite as fortunate as we are. THE EVENT WILL BE HELD ON MOTHERS DAY AT ALL SIX FLAGS THEME PARKS...I will be receiving pictures of my products in the baskets from BABY SWAGS...I will post these as soon as I get them..
No other new info...It is Spring Break this week soooo no pre-school..I took the kids to Leapin Lizards today & they bounced out some energy..

Happy Easter to everyone. Hope the Bunny was good. We had a great weekend filled with Easter Egg Hunts & goodies.
I am reducing the Easter Bows even more. So stock up for next year..Will be adding more products every day so stay tuned.

Title: So whats going on?
Well nothing too exciting going on..I have placed a various assortment of monogrammed ponytail holders on sale for $6.50..When I say various assortment I mean I have limited quataties of certain monograms & fabrics available for immediate delivery..BUT you can still order special fabrics & monograms for the normal price of $8.00. I have added a few more sale items & some bow holder to the sale section.
The kids & I are participating in the American Heart Association Heart Walk in the morning..My whole family is walking for my 8yo. niece Katie who has a heart defect..We are very PROUD of her because she raised almost $700.00 for the event..Her goal was $200.00 SOO SHE DID GREAT..We all have our matching red shirts ready with "TEAM KATIE" on the back!! So it should be fun..I told the twins I am taking the wagon for them to ride in..SO it should be interesting to see if they will stay in it..
Remember Easter is next weekend & I still have a great assortment of Easter Bows..If they are ordered early in the week I will do my best to get them out ASAP..

Title: Great Day
What a fun afternoon at the BELLES & BEAUS Consigment sale. Thanks to everyone who purchased bows from me & I hope that your little girls will enjoy them. I met so many nice people & even ran in to a friend from Nursing School who I have not seen since 1995!! It was great to talk with her & catch up on each others lives because we spent MANY MANY hours together Studying & struggling through clinicals... SOOO even if I did not sell even ONE bow it was well worth the experience. I will be there tomorrow..So I am Off to BED to get rested for another exciting day. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS FROM TODAY...

The next few days will be busy with me working at my "real not so fun job" at the hospital...Really I DO LOVE being a nurse....UHMMMM..Most of the time..BUT I like making bows & having my own business MUCH BETTER..My goal is to do well enough to cut out one of my 3 work days ...WE will have to see..

Title: Monogram Bows & Bow Holders
Been busy with sick kids so I Have not had a chance to post much. Anyhow, I now have a greater selection of monogram bows & monogram button bow holders. I am gradually adding these to the site. My selection of letters on the buttons have been limited but I now have access to most every letter monogram buttons. I am contemplating adding a "just for mom" section with some special mommy items like some really cute monogram items like earrings, really cute wooden necklaces & monogram pocket books. I would love to get some feedback about this & would love some email "advice". I am going to keep the prices reasonable because I know as well as any mom out there that we are the last people we buy for. I go around looking straggly & hagged out but my kids are always dressed in the finest.. oh well I guess that is what being a good mom is all about right??? I am of course working frantically to get ready for the BELLES & BEAUS Consignment sale next weekend. I hope there is a great turnout. I plan to have a very large $2.00 "Bin" with many sale bows - some may have slight flaws that are probably not even noticed...BUT I notice them.. So try to attend for some good deals

Title: More Good Products to COME..
I am excited to be offering a much larger selection of monogram bows..You will have many more button choices & any letter monogram you want..I WILL BE ADDING THIS INFORMATION TO THE SITE hopefully in the next week.. I will also have the same button choices for the monogram button bow holders which I have had a high demand for. I am also playing around with adding some more monogram accessories to the site ..I WILL keep everyone posted on this.
On another note I have to brag on the twins performance at their pre-school show last night. They had their first school program & did so good. I just new one of them would get skiddish (is that a word?? ) & not want to stay on the stage but they both did & were soooo cute. All four grandparents were there & Andy & Gracie were so excited & proud of themselves. They are growing up so fast ..I can't believe they will be 3 in April.

Title: Valentines Day
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY..I spent about 1 hour this afternoon confiscating one of the gazillion pieces of candy that the twins received at their Preschool Valentines party..The stinkers still managed to hide some in the playroom..I went in there & Gracie was chomping down on some Smarties..I asked her where it came from & she said "I just had it mommy.." OKKKKKKKKK ..Two year olds REALLY DO KNOW EXACTLY what they are doing...ANYHOW..I will continue to place Bows on sale on the site...I WILL BE ADDING MORE EASTER & Spring bows in the days to come..So continue to browse around..Please check out a great online store located in CHARLESTON - shrimpandgritskids.com - They specialize in great smocked clothing. Title: Has it been That LONG!!
Has it really been since Feb 3 since I have posted a blog entry..WOW I am not good at this blog thing. I will have to work on that. I have been busy making bows & filling orders & of course working my "real job" as a nurse & Taking care of the twins. We are working on the potty training thing & I am getting very frustrated..BUT I know it will come with patience .. I GREATLY appreciate the orders & I hope that no one is disappointed. I have created some Easter bows which are on the site now & I hope to be adding more.. I am also adding to my inventory for the BELLES & BEAUS Consignment sale in Lexington. Will keep everyone posted on new ideas. Hope everyone has a great week & Valentines Day. Speaking of Valentines - Andy & Gracie worked on their Valentines Cards for Pre-school today..It was so funny because they of course are not understanding the concept of GIVING CARDS..Because everything is MINES...Gracie did not want to give up any of her Disney Princess Cards But we finally managed to get them made & sealed in envelopes..HAVE A HAPPY WEEK!!

Title: New ideas
I am busy working on my "new ideas"..I have posted one of the fabric headbands on the site & I am putting the finishing touches on another. Remember that these are "no headache" headbands...The monogram bow sets will be available soon.These will consist of three big girl bows with an interchangeable monogram pin that can be switched from bow to bow depending on "the outfit of the day".
Really no other new news just continuing to work on the site..

Title: Back From Atlanta
Well I am back with some great ribbon ordered & exciting ideas. Atlanta market was definitely an experience!!
I have some new ideas that I am working on for the site..A new "NO HEADACHE" fabric headband with really cute patterns with of course an adorable Bow attached. Also, be looking for the new Monogram Bow set that offers three bows with a really cute monogram pin that can be switched between all three BOWS!!! Please continue to be patient with the web site as I am continuing to add products & make it better...I am pretty much doing it all myself & I am No computer expert by any means...Hope everyone had a great weekend & I will be back soon!!!!!!!

Title: My First Blog Entry
Here I sit working on this website...this has been a HUGE learning experience for me. Please check back with us often as I am constantly trying to add products(between taking care of 2yo twins & working as a nurse 2 days a week) & IMPROVE the "look"..I started this venture in October 2007 & have had a great time exploring my creative side & making hairbows. I am working on getting some pictures of my 2yo daughter actually "modeling" my bows but as you can imagine she will not sit still for one second to get a decent picture...OH WELL - I guess I will have to look to my older & CALMER nieces to show off my work.
I am excited about 2008 & hope everyone enjoys this site & wishes to purchase some of my products.
